Quang Binh overview

Quang Binh is becoming an area that tourists in Vietnam are starting to take notice of due to its beauty and many natural attractions. Quang Binh is on the north central coast of the country and boasts one of the most diverse ecosystems in Vietnam. Most people come to the area to see Phong Nha-ke Bang National Park, which was declared a World Heritage Site in the year 2003. The park is famous for its limestone rock formations and caves. The area also contains some of the best beaches in Vietnam and since tourism is still relatively light, you can find a nice stretch of abandoned beach without constantly defending yourself from aggressive hawkers trying to sell you fake dragon tattoos. These sites, along with the promise of an airport, mean that Quang Binh won't be kept a secret for long.
