Phan Thiet overview

Phan Thiet Travel Guide
Phan Thiet is a low-key beach town with high sand dunes between Vung Tau and Nha Trang on the southern Vietnam coast. It is renowned locally for its fish sauce, of all things, although foreigners come here for the beaches and watery activities. The main draw is Mui Ne Beach; a fantastic stretch of white sand to the east of Phan Thiet town that is backed by Saharan-like dunes. The kite surfing at Mui Ne is particularly good and there is also good swimming and snorkelling all along the coast. The town also boasts a fair amount of historical attractions, such as the Cham tower and Prince’s Castle, and its harbour is pretty funky, too. Phan Thiet has an airport and is also on the north-south rail line.
