Hanoi overview

Sat in the centre of northern Vietnam, the country capital, Hanoi, is as bustling and atmospheric as it gets and is a place every Vietnam visitor should check out. Although noisy and probably somewhat overwhelming to the uninitiated, Hanoi has plenty of aplomb and a quaint old town flanked by a cool lake. Visitors can stay within the colonial-looking old part and quaff on bia hoi and baguette at a street side caf? after seeing Vietnam’s high profile museums and landmarks. There are also impossibly crowded markets where great deals can be had, as well as an equal covering of greenery to escape the madness. An international airport receives flights from all over Asia.
