Danang overview

Located roughly halfway between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City on the coast, Danang, one of Vietnam's largest cities, is a bit of a strange one in that it is so laid-back it is almost horizontal. As well as being a popular stop-off between the capital and Ho Chi Minh, it is also close to the tourist towns of historic Hue and Hoi An. Slightly lacking on the atmosphere and attraction front, Danang is nevertheless worth a couple of nights to catch its nearby beaches and it also has a ton of fine-looking resort hotels. A buzzing nightlife makes up somewhat for the lack of sights and the town also has an international airport.
